About us:

NDLA empowers, advocates for, and enhances the value of North Dakota libraries and library professionals.

NDLA was formed on January 18th, 1906. The first president, Frank L. Thompson, presided over the state's first library conference at the Fargo Public Library that same year.

At the 1909 conference, there were 18 members. Now, there are over 200 NDLA members representing a variety of specializations and experience in the field of librarianship.
