How We Do It Series: Printing
Curious about how we do what we do? Wonder no longer! In our How We Do It series we are revealing some of our secrets of the business that help us #DoGood for the community with promotional apparel and products. This week's topic is the core of what we do, Printing!
There are many ways to print these days:
1. Heat Transfer Vinyl: the most straightforward and traditional way of printing. Vinyl comes on rolls
that we are able to cut in house, making it the most cost effective and fastest method for our on-demand
printing! When a design is simple and one color, vinyl is the way to go.
2. Sublimation: a special ink printed on transfer paper. When heated there is a chemical reaction that
transfers the ink directly into the fibers of the products, which must be polyester. This creates a
smooth, vintage look that does not fade since the ink becomes permanently a part of the fibers.
3. Supacolor: is a special order transfer hybrid of vinyl and traditional screenprinting ink. It is printed
onto a recyclable plastic backing, and when we press it with heat the vinyl hybrid transfers onto the
fabric. Supacolor creates especially vibrant colors for a bright look.
4. Custom Transfer: a traditional screenprinting ink printed onto a special transfer paper that seals to
fabric with heat. We must special order them in bulk, so we do not use them as much. They are the most
cost effective option for large quantity orders.
5. Digital
White heat transfer vinyl: is printed in full color for in depth, colorful designs that look and feel
like regular vinyl. This is a great option for multi color designs.
Every printing method has benefits depending on your needs
