Nature of the North
Nature of the North is obsessed with the outdoors and active activities. Nature has crazy benefits to support mental, emotional, and physical health, so why not take advantage of it? In 2016 founder Jon Walters decided to take the lack of outdoor recreational activities head on with workshops, classes, and events to teach people outdoor skills they could use to spend time outside year round. Nature of the North opened their first physical location this year in the FM area.
"The new space holds FM's first retail public climbing wall as well as a community space for people to watch climbers, plan upcoming trips, talk about past adventures, play games, or just hang out!"
Unplug + Recharge
Unplug from your technology and make real connections with those around you while taking in the beautiful nature of the Fargo Moorhead area. This is a great way to find your inner calm, recharge for your stressful day to day life, build lasting relationships with those around you, and expand your personal growth.
Breakdown Barriers
The logistics of planning a trip to the outdoors is overwhelming for everyone and keep many from truly enjoying their experience. Nature of the North is here to help you arrange schedules, make reservations, provide the right gear, and plan meals so your experience can be about the great outdoors.
Create Experiences
There is more to the outdoors than simply just going outside. With an endless number of activities to try and places to go, everyone can have the chance to learn new skills. Nature of the North has workshops and events for everyone along with gear rental and an incredible climbing wall. It is possible to have fun year round, not just in the summer! Winter outdoor activities are fun and uplifting and break our cycle of hibernation in the cold months.
