Go ahead, bust it out, “Where they know you by name and treat you like family.” Down Home's official mission is to provide furnishings and décor for families and individuals transitioning from homelessness into permanent housing. Our deeper purpose is to turn an empty space into a place to embrace, breath, feel safe and secure, and empower families and individuals to dream big, be determined to succeed, be involved in community, and break the cycle of homelessness. Everyone deserve to go home to blankets and couches and pillows and mattresses that provide comfort, and they shouldn’t have to choose between paying rent or providing those comforts.
